The evergreen LOOSE CHIPS is another I know very well (finished 5th), having produced a multitude of notes on him throughout the past few years, in fact I could probably write a book on the
bugger!
He showed plenty of enthusiasm despite his advancing years (he's a 12yo) and only really started to give way approaching the last fence. No surprise in that though as again he's another that needs a pipe-opener as he's now 0/8 off a break of 121+ days.
There was plenty to like about his run though and I'd be keen to be backing him under the following conditions...
C2 & below (<20k) | OR 138
& below | RH | DSLR 60 or less
...which gives a form line of 6511122212111114 (9/16, 4p - All 9 wins)
He's also most potent when he gets a solo lead on the front-end (which he did have yesterday and contributed to his solid display).
I produce in-depth notes for NTF Members
each and every Monday of the National Hunt season, with the notes sometimes running to 16 pages+. Essentially there is no upper end to the notes, it's pretty much just when my brain empties!
There are a few more from that Carlisle race that I'll be adding to the copy I'll be providing members next Monday
(22nd October).
Having the knowledge to avoid those runners at Carlisle yesterday is a great example of why I spend so many hours compiling my own race/horse
notes.
