Isn't it bloody great to have Cheltenham back!?!
And what's even better is there is more superb action
heading our way from Prestbury Park tomorrow!
The trends have been delivered to NTF members and they are all picking through the race guide right now, seeing what the trends say, deciding if they agree with my conclusions (some will, some won't, that's the absolute beauty of this racing game) or using the analysis to come to their own
decisions...
On Sunday the National Hunt fraternity head north to Aintree and I'll have the Monet's Garden Old Roan Chase under full scrutiny there.
That race looks exceptional for an early season contest, with the likes of GODS OWN, TEA FOR TWO, SMAD PLACE and CLOUDY DREAM lining up in the 13 strong field
to shoot for the almost 40K first prize.
I'm working through that analysis just now and I think I may just be going against current forecast favourite Cloudy Dream, looking at how my figures are shaping up anyway...
Win or lose with the race analysis this weekend, however, it's the NTF Weekend Notes on Monday that will be the real Gold
Dust I have to offer. Sure, winners on the race analysis will be great, obviously!, but you always have to have a full eye on the long game, and that's where the notes come into their own.
It can, to a certain extent, be a guessing game at this stage of the season with regards to fitness (even when you've done stats work to dig into trainer monthly fitness!) so results can be variable in these
early skirmishes, and there were certainly some runners today that looked like they were in need of a run to blow the cobwebs away.
But I'll spot that and report on it in the Weekend Notes so that myself and NTF members are fully tuned in and ready to strike off the back of these pipe-opening runs and early season markers...
