The value of high quality notes...

Published: Mon, 10/16/17

We will be hard pushed to see an easier winner of a Class 1 or 2 Handicap Chase than ROMAIN DE SENAM at Chepstow yesterday.

That was simply an exquisite round of jumping from the 5yo and Sam Twiston-Davies is unlikely to have smoother rides than that all season.

The 4-1/7-2 available on Saturday evening was an absolute gift from the bookies and he was hammered down all day to an SP of 7/4, even that looking generous given the manner of his victory.

And hopefully a few of you were on the Nicholls horse?

He was highlighted in my 'Five well-handicapped horses' post last month on the free NTF Blog and justified that inclusion in stunning style on his seasonal debut.

His win was also a great example of why I spend so many hours compiling my own race/horse notes, notes that full NTF members receive each and every Monday in the form of the 'Weekend Notes' section of the NTF service.

If you are the kind of punter that loves trends, lives for angles and gets excited about following horses that the wider racing population are foolishly ignoring, but simply don't have the time to do the hard graft yourself, then NTF is the service for you!

Romain De Senam was noted by myself at least a couple of times last term and as a result of my exhaustive replay watching tendencies it was pretty damn clear to me that this Nicholls youngster was an absolute certainty to score from his mark of OR 133.

My own notes give me the edge I need to succeed at this game, they point me to areas that the wider betting population are ignoring and they allow me to expertly build up profiles on 100's of horses, highlighting their 'Prime Conditions' so that the NTF members and I can keep our eyes open for when those conditions are met and we can get our money down.

The latest version of Weekend Notes has just been posted to NTF members in the NTF Members Area and here's a couple of snippets from the Ten page document...

4.55 Chepstow - Saturday

3rd – BALLYKAN
This was a decent effort from the 7yo now back on his last/highest winning mark. Conditions were almost prime for him here and I'd be interested in backing him under the following conditions - Class 2 & below | 10 or less runners | OR 137 & below = form of 11R4111212 (6/10, 2p - All 6 wins).

4th – JUNCTION FOURTEEN
Was leading them all a merry dance up front under his first time visor but he faded tamely when jumping the last and he possibly just doesn’t stay this far (0/6 2m7.5f+) and is also 0/7 on Very Undulating tracks, the combination of distance and undulations probably just leaving him empty for the run to the line. He’s possibly also still a couple pounds too high in the weights. This was promising though and I’d be interested in him under the following...OR 141 or less | Field of 12 or less | Not V Und tracks | 2m4f - 2m7.5f | Race worth less than 20k = 111411 (5/6 - All 5 career wins).

3.25 Chepstow - Sunday

3rd – IT’S A GIMME
Crept into this from mid-pack but was just a shade flat-footed around 3 out/2 out before finishing strongly to snatch 3rd. This was a fine effort under what I would call his prime conditions - DSLR 45 or less | Listed or less | OR 142 & below | Field of 14 or less = 32211111 (5/8, 3p - All 5 wins) – and the only other thing that could have been better for him was a bit of cut underfoot as he is now 1/13 on Good+ compared to 4/12 on Good to Soft. He’s worth keeping on the radar for when the rains come and soften the ground up.

8th – KILLALA QUAY
Was going well enough for long enough but he was back-peddling when making a mess of 4 out. These would not have been prime conditions anyway and he is a horse with interesting prime conditions to work with…G/S+ | OR 139 & below | Field of 10 or below | 11-05 & below = P1P111111 (7/9 -All 7 wins)…and I’d be interested in him if he meets with them any time this season. He’s nowhere near as reliable these days but if you get a decent price he’d be worth a couple of quid.
The above are only a very small extract of the notes that I've just supplied full members with and if you want to get the full ten page extravaganza then simply hop on-board NTF 2017/18 by clicking on the button below...

What NTF Subscribers have to say about the service...

Forecasts are overrated!
Well done Sir! £30 split as follow: £5 on each of the 3 to win, £9 combination trickster and £6 combination forecast returns £933 profit.

Cheers - Dan

Today is a perfect example of why I use your service. My two against the field were Zarib and Affair dhonneur (arguably unlucky) which didn’t figure in your shortlist. In this scenario I downgrade my stakes on those two and added 2 from your selections to my portfolio which had caught my eye but not quite made it to my shortlist. Thankfully one was Agrapart and resulted in a nice 25/1 winner (BSP) that I otherwise wouldn’t have backed and probably kicked myself for not doing so. Well done and thanks Ben

"My first ever comment but I have to give you a great big thank-you… I was late leaving to go the pub for Sunday lunch, didn't have time to study and liked all three selections, so I did a simple treble on the nose and got 164/1!! Oh my… sign me up for a lifetime membership! "

I produce in-depth notes for NTF Members each and every Monday of the National Hunt season, with the notes sometimes running to 16 pages+. Essentially there is no upper end to the notes, it's pretty much just when my brain empties!

I look forward to welcoming you aboard the good ship NTF...
