Is Frankie really the man you want on your side at Royal Ascot?

Published: Mon, 06/19/17

...well yes and no.

We all know Frankie loves riding Ascot.

Hell he's famous for his exploits at the track and in fairness to him he does ride his fair share of Royal Ascot winners.

In fact only Ryan Moore (32 winners!!!) and William Buick (15 winners) have ridden more Royal Ascot winners than Frankie in the past six years.

For the record Frankie has gunned home 12 winners in the same period, for overall stats of...

12/124 | 10% S/R | -£39.88 LSP (-£28.90 BFLSP)

Win & Place 29/124 | 23% S/R

Based on market expectation he is riding bang on the amount of winners he should be...but he is still losing you a fair old chunk of your betting bank, should you have been following the little Italian blind over the last six Royal Ascot's.

And the reason for that? Well it's simple, he's massively over bet at the meeting.

People see Royal Ascot, they see Frankie Dettori and bang! the money piles on, the price shortens, the bookies are happy to continue shortening him and then before you know it the value has been sucked dry. And REALLY sucked dry!

So how do we turn the odds back in our favour?

Well we dig a bit deeper and look for the areas where we can still profit from the Dettori mounts, and from there a bright shining mini-angle emerges...

But before I give you that...

15 races under full BDH Trends coverage for only £17.79!

Hook onto the full service today and tackle Royal Ascot the BDH way!

Doors will close tomorrow morning...
...now back to the Italian magician...

A bit of database digging (using the exceptional Proform system builder) leads me to the following Frankie Dettori Royal Ascot mini-angle...

Frankie Dettori | Royal Ascot | Class 1 races | Horses aged 5yo or less | SP less than 10/1

Which returns figures of...

11/43 | 26% S/R | +£34.78 BFLSP - W&P 19/43 | 44% S/R

46% above expectation

Around 1 in 4 of these runners are winning and approaching 50% are placing and the three simple filters capture 11 of his 12 recent Ascot winners.

Much better than the blind man with a machine gun approach and a hell of a lot more profitable!!

I'm now off to continue compiling the BDH members guides for the top class action that is about to smack us full in the chops (if you want a slice of the action then you can hop on HERE) so whether I see you in the BDH members area or not I wish you well for the week ahead.

Relax, pick your battles and most of all ENJOY yourselves!
