Yes!

He's had his summer holiday but now it's time to get serious and start focusing on the impending National Hunt season!

And what better way to start the wheels in motion for the 2017/18 season than with a fantastic guest post from the man behind the superb Jumpers To Follow publication, Paul Ferguson.

This has now been the traditional starting point for NTF for the past five years and I'll be honest there are few emails I look forward to more than this one. It's as sure a sign as any that the jumping game is dusting itself off and getting ready to consume us National Hunt fanatics for the next seven or eight glorious months! Bloody love it!!

I've personally spent the past month and a bit picking through my mounds of National Hunt notes from last season. It needs done every summer. It takes a hell of a lot of time and effort... but again... I BLOODY LOVE IT!!

It's gets me properly fired up for the jumping game and reignites the National Hunt passion that burns deep inside of me.

It NEVER dies, it simply refuels and comes back stronger each autumn!

I'm sure once you've read Paul's guest post you'll start to feel exactly the same...

Paul has been on his travels during the summer, visiting numerous National Hunt yards up and down the country and getting a first hand close up look at some of the major players from the likes of NTD, Skelton, Bailey, O'Brien and many more.

And that's one of the reason's I love having Paul open up the NTF season. He's not simply spouting off run of the mill claptrap about Mullins or Nicholls or Henderson...

He's digging a bit deeper, looking at the emerging trainers, the second and third tier trainers, the ones that don't get quite as much coverage as they probably should. This time around, between us, we decided a bit of 'Dark Horse' coverage was the order of the day.

And that makes his guest post a MUST READ!

Once you've read it (grab a cuppa/beer/sandwich, ignore all other work!!) I want to hear YOUR thoughts on the forthcoming season.

Drop me a comment at the bottom of the post with your opinions and what you're looking forward to most in the 2017/18 National Hunt season.

Thanks for being a loyal NTF/BDH follower.

p.s. I hope all long-term NTF followers are remembering to keep an eye on the 2017 NTF Summer Stunners?

Between the 12 of them they've managed to pull in nine wins so far and a healthy +£20.30 LSP.

Not bad for a free Summer jumping angle I'd say...

p.p.s Guide available HERE if you missed it...
