Aintree 2016: Five angles - LSP +£209.08...

Published: Mon, 04/04/16

We've hit Aintree Grand National week.

And Willie Mullins is planning an Aintree assault!

He wants that British trainers title and he knows success at the Aintree Grand National meeting is the key.

However, whilst researching and fine-tuning a set of mini-angles for Aintree (angles you can learn more about HERE) I noticed the following...

Willie Mullins Aintree Festival record since 2004...

3/71 | 4% S/R | -£51.34 BFLSP

Win & Place - 20/71 | 28% S/R

47% below expectation

That's got to be a worry.

THREE winners from 71 runners is a pitiful return for the major dominating force in the National Hunt game.

That's going to have to be turned around dramatically if he is to land that British Trainers title.

Saying that he is coming absolutely mob-handed this year and it is almost certainly the strongest team he has fired at the meeting for a very long time, probably ever.

Most of the big guns are entered - DOUVAN, VAUTOUR, DJAKADAM, DON POLI, ANNIE POWER, NICHOLLS CANYON, VROUM VROUM MAG, UN DE SCEAUX - but how many of them can realistically be expected to do the Cheltenham/Aintree double?

Is there a chance he could more than double the tally of his Aintree festival winners?

Well yes, I guess there is.

But in truth I sincerely hope he doesn't.

He doesn't feature in my five trainer mini-angles that I'm planning on tackling the three days with and I'd be grateful if Mr Mullins didn't ruin my party!

The five mini-angles have collectively struck at a whopping 49% in the past six years and have pulled in profits of +£209.08 to Betfair SP (to £1 stakes).

These mini-angles, along with my usual in-depth race analysis guides (eleven races covered by myself over the three days), form the front-line off my Aintree assault.

Current NTF members already know what the angles are and I'll be highlighting the qualifiers each day in the NTF Members Area.

You can secure your Aintree place on the link below...
Cheltenham was damn hard for me this year. But I'm always looking to evolve. I don't like sitting still and I'm ALWAYS looking to improve.

That's why I'm introducing the new string to the NTF analysis bow; Festival mini-angles.

I briefly introduced this at the Cheltenham Festival but I'm now ready to kick it onto the next level.

After hours and hours of tweaking and tuning I finally settled upon FIVE hardened angles. Angles that over the past six Aintree Festivals have struck at a combined strike-rate of 49%, fired in 41 winners and produced a £1 level stakes profit (to Betfair SP) of +£209.08!

And it's those angles I will be sharing with NTF members at Aintree this week...

The five angles concentrate on five of the major Nationl Hunt trainers.

This is how the angles shake-up when you look at them individually...

Trainer 1: 6/16 | 38% S/R | +£55.40 BFLSP

Trainer 2: 5/13 | 38% S/R | +£52.16 BFLSP

Trainer 3: 16/28 | 57% S/R | +£30.15 BFLSP

Trainer 4: 9/15 | 60% S/R | +£35.40 BFLSP

Trainer 5: 9/15 | 60% S/R | +£35.40 BFLSP

There won't be a massive amount of qualifiers over the three days but that's fine, that's how I want it.

I don't want to thundering in with my head down and spraying bulllets all over the place looking to hit something big. That's not my style and I don't plan to change any time soon.

I must also point out at this stage that I'm not abandoning my usual analysis methods, far from it. As always I will be covering a large chunk of the Aintree races using my tried and tested race analysis guides.

Over the three days I'll be covering ELEVEN races using my unique Race Trends and Dosage Trends approach.

The races that will be covered in full are...

Thursday - Aintree Bowl | Aintree Hurdle | RedRum Handicap Chase

Friday - Top Novices' Hurdle | Mildmay Novices' Chase | Melling Chase | Topham Chase

Saturday - Mersey Novices' Chase | Stayers Hurdle | 3m1f Listed Handicap Chase | GRAND NATIONAL

In fact I've already given the Grand National a good seeing to.

It's a race that's always worth taking a look at a couple of weeks prior to the big day and so I've already applied my race trends to the top 45 horses currently entered in the big one.

That analysis is available to you as soon as you sign-up to NTF for Aintree week...

Once the next stage of National decs are confirmed today I'll be updating my National figures again and I'll also be getting stuck in to the race analysis side of things for the 'supporting' races as well.

Can MANY CLOUDS put himself up there with RED RUM by winning back to back National's?

Will Willie Mullins turn around his Aintree figures and secure the British trainers championship in the process?

Will CUE CARD gain redemption for his Gold Cup spill?

We will find out shortly...
