Your Questions about NTF Answered...
Thanks
to those of you that have emailed me over the past couple of days.
I realise a lot of you are new to my work and racing approach and as such have plenty of questions regarding the full NTF service.
I've tried to reply to all of you but I think it's worthwhile me answering all questions (or at least the popular questions) in one email.
So here goes...
(p.s. Not interested? Get the free Cheltenham guide at bottom of this email)
What EXACTLY is the NTF service about?
NTF is about tackling the National Hunt game from a completely unique angle to all the other racing services out there. My aim
is to leave no stone unturned when looking for the likely winners and value alternatives of the major National Hunt races.
In fact one of my members (Ian) sums the NTF service up perfectly...
"What I think you get from Ben is a service that teaches about how to analyse horse racing to a level of depth not available elsewhere. He does the "heavy lifting" which I cannot do - I don't have the time and knowledge, but following up on some of the suggestions is what has moved me from a novice punter to profitable punter and I'm now looking forward immensely to the next NTF season”
Why is NTF any different to the other racing services currently around?
There are plenty of trends based services around, right? None of them, however, blend the race trends with the Dosage Method. That gives me (and you) a unique look at the major races. It tells me which horses have the correct genetic profile for the race they are
about to tackle. That is an angle massively overlooked by the wider betting public and that's what I exploit.
Using both the Trends and Dosage I'm able to construct rock-hard shortlists for each race analysed. I then drill down further into these shortlists and highlight the horse I think is the most likley winner as well as a value alternative or two, depending on race
size.
NTF also isn't just a bog-standard tipping service. Yes there are selections from myself but the race guides have been constructed in such a diverse and in-depth manner that you don't just have to side with my own selections. There is so much info included in the guides that you can beat your own drum using my analysis and interpret the figures in your own way, coming up with your
own selections.
What happens once you have signed up?
When you sign-up you will be directed to the registration page where you will pick your own username and password. You also
enter your preferred email address which will automatically be added to the NTF Members mailing list. Once registered you can instantly log-in to the NTF members area, where there are already members posts waiting for you, including the full version of the Cheltenham Showcase Meeting Stat Attack Guide (Link to example version is at bottom of this email). There are also the first couple of versions of my weekend notes articles and you will also be able to see the first horse that
has been added to the UTR Squad.
When will you get the race guides/information?
The race guides and any other info will ALWAYS be sent out the evening before racing. For example this weekends analysis guide for the 3.20 at Cheltenham this Saturday will be posted in the members area on
Friday evening, typically between 6pm & 10pm. I send members an email when the information is ready so that they can log-in using their own unique username and password.
Is there a money back guarantee?
Of course. If after 30 days you are not happy with the service I provide and
think that NTF may not be for you I will happily provide you with a full refund. I want you to enjoy the service and all it has to offer but I'm aware it may not be for everyone. If that is you then yes, I will be happy to refund you.
How long do you have to spend picking through the race guides?
As long or as little time as you want. There is a lot of
information in each race guide, I would love it if you all read them from cover to cover, but I appreciate not everyone has the time to do that. So as well as providing the full race guide for download I also have a section where you can see the shortlists for each race as well as my own selections, with reasoning for each and every selection I have made. If you're short of time this is a very handy snapshot of the race under analysis and means you don't have to refer to the full guide if
you don't want to.
What is/are the UTR Squad?
The UTR (Under The Radar) Squad are a team of horses that I cherry-pick from my own exhaustive reviewing of races. I look for horses that ran well (or to my eye better than they should have) under conditions that won't have suited them.
Essentially I'm looking for horses that others may have missed or dismissed as having ran poorly. I then isolate their ideal or preffered conditions and track them going forward looking for the prime spots for us to get our money down. This was a new addition to the service two years ago and created a fantastic buzz in the members area. It's an angle I have profited from in my own personal betting for a number of years and NTF Members can now enjoy the fruits of my detailed approach to this side
of the game.
What are the NTF Weekend Notes?
These are my exclusive thoughts, pointers, trends and stats from the previous weekends racing. They give an excellent overview of the weekends racing just past and, where I can, I provide pointers for specific horses going forward. The
notes can be used in anyway you want, even if it's just reading them on your lunch break at work on a boring Monday!
Do you provide ante-post selections?
I provide in-depth ante-post analysis guides. Occassionally there will be selections from myself in those guides although I'm not a
huge ante-post player. As you will come to realise I'm very much someone who likes to have as much info at hand as I possibly can before making a bet. A lot of members do, however, place their own ante-post bets off the back of my analysis, even if I haven't specifically suggested a bet myself.
How many races will you be covering throughout the
season?
Around 140 races will be covered during the National Hunt season. There is a set path that I have followed for the past five seasons and I plan on following that tried and tested path again, as closely as is possible, this season. I say around 140 as conditions may change (Grade, Distance...) for some races and that would make them unstable for analysis purposes. On average, however, it
won't be far off 140, indeed it could even be more if newer races have worked themselves into a strong enough position for analysis purposes.
How many races will you be covering at the Cheltenham Festival?
18 races will be covered at the Cheltenham Festival. Some of the newer races
either haven't had enough renewals for me to apply my methods to or they haven't yet shown a strong enough pattern for me to include them in the schedule. I'm always keeping a check on newer races, however, and more races will be added to the Festival coverage in time, possibly even this season.
What races work best for the Dosage Method?
As a general rule of thumb you are looking at the 2m4f+ races, even the 3m+ races. When stamina is called upon Dosage tends to come into it's own. Through years of testing and research I know which races to rely upon Dosage more strongly and which races to lean more towards the extend race trends side of things.
If I had to,
however, pick one race that works best for Dosage I would plump for the Cheltenham Gold Cup, closely followed by the RSA Chase.
Can I do the work myself?
Sure, but make sure you have a spare five or six hours for each race!! The methods I employ are a lengthy process, but they work.
There are no shortcuts to profits in this racing game. Hard work pays. Luckily for you guys I'm willing to do the hard work and the heavy lifting and shifting. I do all the blood, sweat and tears behind the scenes and you get to enjoy the finished article at your leisure :)
Just what the hell is Dosage?!
I wish I could say I wrote THE book on Dosage, but I didn't. I wrote A book on Dosage, the first as far as I'm aware that applied the angle in such depth to National Hunt racing.
Dosage is a powerful statistical analysis tool that is
used to dissect a horse’s pedigree, applying points to a horse based on influential sires in it's four generation pedigree so we can determine the probable speed and/or stamina capabilities of that horse.
Sound complicated? It's not really and I make it very easy to understand in my race guides. In fact you don't even need to understand the principles behind it because I do ALL the
ground work and tell you EXACTLY who fits the Dosage profiles for any given race and who doesn't.
Do I need to pay extra for the the Cheltenham & Aintree Festival services?
Hell no! When you join now and purchase the season ticket that is you for the season. Sit back, relax and
let me do the work. You don't need to be upgrading your account for the big festivals. I don't believe in that approach. A season ticket with NTF means just that; you get the full National Hunt season (Festivals and all) as part of your membership.
What will NTF do for members?
My aim
is to provide you with the most in-depth analysis I possibly can. Analysis that you simply cannot and will not get anywhere else. I also hope that you will learn a great deal from being an NTF member. It's not just about me sending you the name of a horse and you going and backing it, I see no enjoyment in that. Sure, follow me in with my selections but I want you to know exactly WHY I'm making that selection. As a member of NTF I can assure you that you will be in no doubt why I'm making the
selections and why my money is down on that horse.
...and I hope that answers at least some of the question you may have had regarding the full NTF service.
Oh and here is a link to that FREE guide I promised you...
(The FREE guide is the FIFTH one down on
that page. If you are a full NTF member then you don’t need to worry about this, the full version of the guide is in the NTF Members Area for you)
Thanks for taking the time to read today's email, I hope to see you in the NTF members area as I tackle the National Hunt season using my tried and tested methods.
