Batten down the hatches NTF-ers! Twister season is here!
...and if Twister season is here then that also means NTF is slowly starting to waken from it's summer slumber!
Yes, the first Twiston-Davies runner of August took to the track yesterday in the shape of Lodgician at Newton Abbot. The old boy ran well enough in third, beaten just over 3 lengths in the end.
The result was immaterial to me in truth. I was more
interested in the fact that NTD was clearly ready to load the barrels and start blasting away at the opposition, once again preparing his squad to mop up in lesser company whilst the big boys are still coming back off the beaches and supping at the last of their cocktails.
Any long time follower of NTF will be more than familiar with Twister Season. The free
guide you can download today isn't a new concept. I have, however, updated the guide so that it is slap bang up-to-date and filled with accurate and relevant stats, mini-angles and pointers.
There will, however, be some of you receiving this email
that have absolutely no idea what Twister season is. Don't worry though, it's not as scary as it sounds! Far from it. It is a time of the year which all National Hunt fans should enjoy and embrace...

NTF is actually going through a bit of a face-lift at present. I've got my website guy (cheers Dickon) working away behind the scenes so that it functions in the same manner that BDH currently does.
I implemented a new members area/log-in process/sign-up system on BDH this summer and I'm pleased to say it has run like a dream. The 'old' NTF members area was starting to creak a bit at the seams so the 'new' NTF website will be run in the same manner as BDH.
It will have a fresher feel to it and will run much smoother than the old boy. I can't wait!
There
will be no drastic changes for you guys. I will still be running the site in the same manner it has always been run. So whether you are part of the full membership service or one of the readers of the free blog I will still be delivering my usual brand of racing analysis, angles, thoughts and pointers. The site will just run a lot smoother :D
I've already got a cracking guest post lined up for you guys and a range of articles from myself to get us all fired up for the forthcoming National Hunt season.
By the way, I've popped the Twister Season Guide on BDH
for now so don't be alarmed when you click on the link and you land on BDH, I just don't want to be messing about with NTF when there is work being done to it! You guys should still be able to go there and read old articles, I just don't want to break stuff behind the scenes!!
I'm
obviously still deep in BDH mode at present but with Twiston-Davies readying his squad for battle I simply had to deviate briefly to the jumping game and supply you guys with an updated version of the TWISTER SEASON guide.
We are still a
couple months away from the proper jumping stuff but I can almost smell those tweed jackets and see the brow of Cleeve Hill...
BRING ON THE JUMPS!!
Cheers
Ben (NTF/BDH)
