NTF latest - The road to the 2014 Cheltenham Festival: The Cheltenham Gold Cup...

How much of a worry was the seasonal debut run from Bobs Worth?

With the Hennessy Gold Cup now in the form book we have managed to have a fair look at a number of the 2014 Cheltenham Gold Cup contenders, including reigning champ BOBS WORTH.

Nicky Henderson's charge finished a disappointing 6th on seasonal debut in the Betfair Chase but some have merely dismissed it as a 'minor blip' and his Cheltenham form will pull him through...

But what do the early season figures tell us?

One below par run doesn't make you a bad horse, far from it, but with regards to previous Gold Cup winners and their seasonal debut performances does it leave Bob with a mountain to climb?

Where does his Betfair Chase RPR of 142 put him in the pecking order?

I will be covering a number of these angles on the FREE NTF Blog as we begin the long sweep up to the Cheltenham Festival in March and remember, I'm always delighted to hear your opinions so make sure you drop me a comment on site with your thoughts :)
