It was relatively light in terms of National Hunt action this weekend although high class contests from Perth on Gold Cup day and Auteuil on French Champion Hurdle day made sure that quality more than made up for lack of quantity.

For today's one to follow I actually dip away from the Sunday races and look to Startford on Saturday evening for a runner I think looks booked for the winners enclosure in the coming weeks...

There was also one runner from Sunday's French action that caught my eye and he looks like he could be a very exciting recruit for one of the big players on this side of the Channel...
